Design Inspiration: Travel

We're finally heading off for a late Summer vacation and it got me thinking about how great traveling is for making new design discoveries. Here are some ideas gathered in Miami, specifically at the Delano's lobby Sushi restaurant, Blue Sea.

It's a tiny place, with great attention to detail

I like the cove lighting from this detailed column -- and the simple-to-duplicate woodwork

The drawers on the right are actually larger doors, I love the little porthole on the bottom, and the use of marble on the wall.

The chicken wire with the curtain in back is a nice touch

Our stowaway (her name is little Jenny -- another story) is always getting into things...
