ICFF Show 2014 - Highlights

Last week I went to the ICFF show (with my bestie Erin Adams, tile designer extraordinaire). Here are some highlights:

From the Philippines, there were some fantastic new designs. I liked the fact that they embraced some of the cultural feel while being totally fresh from a design perspective.

This Swallow Wall Clock by Haoshi was so poetic - was wondering if it comes with a template so you know where to put the birds!

I'd been looking for an easy way to dress up a roller shade, and was thinking this Japanese masking tape from MT Casa could work really well

Another bit of poetry from nature (birds are a bit of a theme for me) - tiles that have etched images from the UK-based Daniel Heath.

Also from the UK, I loved the little 'surprise' Delft pattern inside this modern pendant from Liquidesign

Maronyx had a beautiful double sink- very organic and sculptural in feel and a bit hard to capture in a photo.

I love modular systems and this one is really fab. The possibilities here are endless - check out the desk below - and furniture can be reconfigured later.

Like most small design studios they are trying hard to get their product into production so they can bring costs - and price down. Here's a link to their Kickstarter campaign if you'd like to help :-)

Another eye-catcher was this beautiful shelving system from Amuneal. This custom fabricator has developed this system as part of a new modular program - meaning that instead of one-offs for retail us regular folks can get these gorgeous pieces.
