Letter Graphics as Design Inspiration
I've been noticing some wonderful designs inspired by letters, as well as accessories that celebrate typography. Here are a few picks:
From the very talented rug design Gary Cruz, his Times Rug. He is offering a generous 20% discount for orders placed before May 1st.
An Alexander Girard textile, available as a reasonably-priced pillow from Circa50, a great online resource for mid-century furniture and accessories. Bonus: personal customer service that makes dealing with them a pleasure.
One of my favorite stores, Threepotatofour, has this vintage looking library sign. It is well made, with a finish that doesn't look 'fake vintage'. When I unpacked mine I puzzled over the little extra oval in the package. It was the dot on the "i". Cute!
And if you want to just go for the straight type treatment, this has been something I always wanted for my entry (available at Lionsdeal). Rotating poems, shopping lists, special welcomes, meeting announcements, a marquis introducing the members of the family...
