Public Bikes is a new company from Rob Forbes, who introduced Design Within Reach.  I love the simple lines and European-inspired designs. Although I have not tested them, the company does seem to stand behind the quality of their products. And the colors, oh, the colors...

Bikes start at $550 and up. I personally like the M3, which is their middle range 3-speed at $750

They also have color coordinated rear racks which look great.

I also like these panniers -- so cute!
