Trendspotting: French Industrial for less
I recently had a One Day Design Solution client who was interested in French Industrial pieces for her dining room and sitting area -- on a budget of course! I found some great pieces at larger retailers and through Etsy, and thought I would share:
Restoration Hardware is definitely taking a stance on the trend for French Industrial, with some really beautifully designed pieces. Get their catalog for inspiration.
Pictured below is the Martine Chair ($419). Great lines! I suggested it for a small sitting area with a side table. Available in denim, duck, velvet and linen in muted tones. I'm favoring the darker colors these days...
This is actually 72", so in New York terms it's a full-size dining table. At $695, seems a very good deal.
And this lamp... the Rowan Pharmacy. This one is $299.
The bargain winner at only $99!!! From Ballard, The Weston Task Lamp
To go around your table, the Prague metal chair at only $150 from Mothology
To soften the look Wisteria has this settee with natural legs and linen
as well as this bench (great with a dining table) ($600) and a very cute slipcovered chair at $469 with the ruffle (which in this case, I prefer)
If you want to stick with some smaller players and support the local economy, put these pillows on your new settee:
From Les Petit Tresors it's long and skinny (8.5x22") and only $18. There are many more options.
Vintage Industrial is doing some wonderful work. This desk is extremely interesting. Not inexpensive, but fairly priced at $1400 considering the detail (look at the cool casters)
