I can share the feelings of serendipity that Christiane Lemieux, creator of DwellStudio, noted in her interview for designgush recently… I recently received the new Dwell furniture catalog and I think it’s fantastic! Not only are the designs fresh and appealing, but I love the photography and styling. The catalog is refined and feels like one is walking into a really well edited store.

My classmate at Parsons and founder of Designgush, Jessica Smarsch, has written an indepth article in which she interviews the designing force from DwellStudios. It was great to learn more about the evolution of a textile collection, and I really appreciated Christiane Lemieux’s comments regarding design being able to translate across disciplines (e.g. an interior designer often has a sense for graphics and fashion as well)  I also agree with Jessica’s comment in which she points out that designers often just have to follow their gut while creating and producing their own designs. It's so important, and so easy to forget!
