Local finds - design shopping in Carroll Gardens at REFINERY

One of my favorite shopping stops on Smith Street in my Carroll Gardens neighborhood is Refinery, located at 248 Smith Street. Refinery sells bags, totes, pillows, scarves, gift items and a a few select pieces of vintage furniture. Their sewn pieces are good quality and well priced - I bought a bag here years ago and it wore so well, that when it came time to replace it I just bought another exactly like it.

They don't have a website, but can be reached at (718) 643-7861. Since gift season is just about here, this is a great place to add to your list of local shopping destinations.
