What is The One-Day Design Solution™ ?

A budget-friendly plan, prepared by CAVdesign which will provide you with the resources and design tips to re-do your space at your own pace. It is a road map to streamline and guide you through the process  -- including space planning, color suggestions, and web links to our furniture, lighting and accessory recommendations.  It can be used for one to two spaces in the home (except kitchens and baths) and is customized for each client based on your needs and budget.

What doesn’t it do?

We don’t oversee or implement the process for you, nor do we hire or manage tradespeople – that part is up to you.  The benefits are twofold; substantial savings, and the ability to pace your expenditures and schedule to suit your lifestyle.

How does it work?

First, we meet to see if The One Day Design Solution is a good match for you and your design needs. Then we schedule the on-site consultation, which takes 2 hours or so. It’s a fun and invigorating process  during which will define the challenges, discuss your budget, make a wish-list, look at photos of other projects for inspiration, and take pictures and measurements.

What will I end up with?

In two weeks or less, you will receive a PDF document which will contain your customized plan. This may include a furniture layout, color specs for Benjamin Moore Paint, photos of furniture and accessory suggestions, and direct links to purchase those items. No hunting online -- it’s already done! Where appropriate, tips and how-to ideas will be included. The One Day Design Solution is created for homeowners, not design professionals, so it’s easy to follow and provides enough information to carry you through the process. But, if you run into a snag or have questions we will do our best to help. If you prefer a hard-copy of the PDF for reference, that can be provided at a nominal charge.

Can I get any discounts on furniture the way I would with a designer?

While you are not able to get showroom discounts, you can get a discount (and support the local economy!) by shopping at a CAV design Retail Partner, a select group of local stores that offer a 10% discount on furniture and other items. Click here for partners.

How much does it cost?

The One Day Design Solution costs $500, payable the day of your consultation.
